Drinking water and plastic
Free drinking water is available to guests. The reasoning is simple: if water is always at hand, there is no need to sell plastic bottles — and they stop arriving here and leaving again as waste.
Sustainability

Drinks are served in returnable, reusable containers: large beers and Coca-Cola KS in glass. The bottles go back to the supplier, are washed and used again, instead of becoming waste with every serving.
Organic kitchen waste goes to composting rather than to landfill.
Waste is sorted and sent for recycling.
The pousada treats its own wastewater.
The restaurant works with local suppliers and with its own vegetable garden, which supplies the kitchen. The menu includes vegan and vegetarian options.
