Kitesurfing
Icaraizinho de Amontada lies on the west coast of Ceará, about 190 km from Fortaleza. Between July and January the wind blows steadily, and the water is flat and shallow — the combination that makes this a place sought out by people learning their first water start and by riders who have been on the water for years.

From July to January the wind is steady. That changes how you plan a trip: instead of waiting for the right window, you plan sessions around the day — ride in the morning, rest through the heat, go back out late in the afternoon.
Flat, shallow water favours learning. You can stand up across much of the riding area, which makes the first water starts less intimidating and getting your board back far easier. For experienced riders, a smooth surface is the natural ground for freestyle and technical progression.
The pousada is 50 metres from the beach. Your gear stays close, lunch happens between two sessions, and the daily commute stops being something to solve.
Partner club
The village kite school and club is right next door. Lessons, gear, downwinders and a full beach setup — here is what they offer.
